2010 Show Schedule February 27th, 2010 New York Comic Book Marketplace (the old smaller but better Big Apple Con)
The New York Comic Book Marketplace will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, 401 7th Avenue at 33rd Street. For more information, go to http://www.nycbm.com. NYC's Longest-Running and Greatest One-Day Show Returns Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Penn Plaza Pavilion This is the new name for the smaller low-key shows formerly known as "Big Apple". Mike Carbonaro put on one of these types of shows last June and it was GREAT. Fans loved it and dealers loved it and I loved it (I am both).
April 10-11, 2010 Boston Comic Con (FANTASTIC guest list - my first time at this show - hope to see you there!) Westin Boston Waterfront, just minutes from South Station! Over 24,000 square feet of space with the best national and local artists together in one room.
October 8 - 10, 2010 Booth # 2731 (click for interactive look at the floor plan and the TvComics.com location) New York Comic Con is the East Coast's biggest and most exciting popular culture convention. The show floor plays host to the latest and greatest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television. The panels and autograph sessions give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators. The screening rooms feature sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either big or small screens. New York Comic Con is the second largest pop culture convention in America and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media, and licensing capital of the world -- Gotham City. Other shows will be added as time permits - I will keep you posted. Above is an original sketch by Curt Swan from my personal collection - this is (in my opinion) one of the best renditions ever of the Man of Steel by Curt Swan. The digital picture does not do it justice.
Enjoy your collecting!
